I have wanted to photograph a West Tower wedding for some time now, so I was delighted when I got the opportunity to shoot Catherine & Chris’s wedding. Catherine got ready in the Mariott Hotel in Preston, before making her way down the A59 to to the ceremony venue at West Tower.
When I arrived at West Tower, I went to check on Chris, who was looking a little nervous, as most groom do as they wait for their bride to arrive. Catherine took cover from the rain under an umbrella as she exited the car, and made the short walk to the entrance. The rain was a feature of the day, but it did nothing to dampen the high spirits of the wedding party and guests alike.
We managed to grab 10 minutes or so between rain showers to take some relaxed bride & groom portraits. I try to keep these sessions as chilled and unfussy as possible, as most of my couples prefer unposed, natural photography.
I loved my first West Tower wedding, and I am looking forward to many more in the future!
