Lancashire Manor Hotel Wedding – Rachel & Lee
I love shooting weddings at Lancashire Manor Hotel, and Rachel & Lee’s wedding lived up to expectations, even though the weather did its best to make life difficult at times!
Rachel was in high spirits when I arrived at the Lancashire Manor Hotel to cover bridal preparations. The hotel room was buzzing with activity; bride, bridesmaids, relatives…all attended to by hairdessers, make-up artists, and nail technicians. In these situations I like to use a wide angle lens; firstly cpaturing wider shots to set the scene, and then moving in closer to capture detail and take head shots.
Lee was looking decidedly nervous as he awaited Rachel’s arrival in ‘The Great Hall’. He was all smiles though when he caught his first glimpse of Rachel walking down the aisle, stunning in her beautiful wedding dress.
The rain had been on and off throughout the morning, and there was a shower at the end of the ceremony, resulting in a delay in us going outside for the formal group shots. Within 10 minutes a break in the clouds appeared, and we made our way outside to make the most of the sunshine. We had just reached the garden area when the heavens opened, leaving bride, groom, bridesmaids, best man, ushers…..and photographer making a quick dash for cover under the ornate gazebo. The rain finally relented, allowing us to get through the formal group shots and bride & groom portraits prior to the wedding breakfast.
The evening celebrations got under way with a touch of Las Vegas glamour, with Roulette and Black Jack tables providing the guests with plenty of entertainment. The ceremonial cutting of the wedding cake was quickly followed by the first dance which provided plenty of opportunity to capute some tender moments.
