Wedding at Tea Parlour Liverpool – Georgie & Topher

Tea Parlour Liverpool Wedding – Georgie & Topher

I was fortunate enough to be asked to cover the first ever wedding at Tea Parlour Liverpool. It is a Grade II listed building on the iconic Mathew Street cobbles; a perfect venue for modern couples looking for a vintage-style wedding.

Georgie & Topher are an outgoing  photogenic couple who are now based in the Midlands, travelling from Lichfield up to Georgie’s native North West of England to hold their wedding with close friends & family.  The theme was ‘vintage’, and what better place to hold their wedding ceremony than St George’s Hall in Liverpool, a Grade I listed neo-classical building dating back to the 19th century.

Georgie looked breathtaking in her beautiful super-stylish wedding dress, and Topher looked equally dapper in his suit.  It was a double celebration as the wedding coincided with Gerogie’s 30th birthday!  The wedding party duly sang ‘Happy Birthday’ to the bride as she made her way down the aisle, certainly a birthday to be remembered forever.

After the ceremony the wedding party made their way through Liverpool to Thomas Rigby’s pub on Dale Street for a celebratory drink or two before the wedding breakfast at the ‘Tea Parlour’.  There was a very relaxed atmosphere throughout the day, with the focus very much on enjoyment and spending time with family & friends.

I took a few photographs of the wedding party making their way past some of the iconic landmarks on Mathew Street en route to the Tea Parlour, Liverpool.  The room was decorated beautifully, with some extremely thoughtful touches; guests found their seat by finding photos of themselves placed on the ornate tables.  The wedding cake (made by the groom!) also featured a photo of the couple, and a lovely ‘teacup’ inscription ‘Where there is tea there is love’.

I thoroughly enjoyed being part of Georgie & Topher’s special day, a wedding that I will remember for it’s informality, personal touches, warmth, and laughter.
